Code of Conduct for CAMPADELIC

It is of utmost importance to the Activity Organizers and the Community as a whole that each and every person attending has a positive and rewarding experience and to that end, we invite all Participants to help us realize a safe, respectful, and positive experience for everyone. When you are part of CAMPADELIC, you are contributing to the overall experience, which makes us all accountable to each other.

Therefore we have established this Code of Conduct to provide guidelines to Participants and to ensure that all Participants understand what behavior is expected, and what behavior will not be tolerated. We expect all Participants to abide by this Code of Conduct. This includes during the activity itself and in related online communities and social media.

We are dedicated to providing a harassment-free and inclusive event experience for everyone regardless of gender identity and expression, sexual orientation, disabilities, neurodiversity, physical appearance, body size, ethnicity, nationality, race, age, religion, or other protected category. Participants asked to stop any harassing behavior are expected to comply immediately.

EXPECTED BEHAVIOR

Participants will:

  • Be considerate and respectful to all other participants, staff, and volunteers.

  • Refrain from demeaning, discriminatory, or harassing behavior, materials, and speech.

  • Speak up if they observe anything at the event that conflicts with this Code of Conduct.

  • If you are being harassed or feel uncomfortable, notice that someone else is being harassed, or have any other concerns, please contact an event staff person immediately.

CLOTHING POLICY

At Camp Portal, we are committed to fostering a respectful, inclusive, and safe environment for all campers. As part of our dedication to community well-being and comfort, we have established the following clothing guidelines for public areas of the camp:

  1. Respectful Attire: All campers are expected to wear appropriate clothing in public areas at all times. This includes, but is not limited to, areas such as the dining area, activity spaces, group circles, and walking paths.

  2. Coverage: Campers must keep their genitals and breasts covered while in public spaces. This is to ensure that everyone feels comfortable and respected in shared spaces, regardless of personal choices or experiences.

  3. Personal Expression: We encourage self-expression and creativity in attire. However, this expression should be balanced with the understanding that the camp is a communal environment where comfort and respect for others are paramount. Please consider the shared nature of the spaces and the diverse backgrounds of fellow campers.

  4. Appropriate Footwear: Footwear is required in all public areas for health and safety reasons. Please wear shoes or sandals when moving between camp facilities.

  5. Nudity: While we embrace body positivity and self-acceptance, we ask that all nudity be confined to designated private areas. Please be mindful of those around you and ensure that nudity is not present in spaces where others may feel uncomfortable.

  6. Infringements: If a camper is found to be in violation of the clothing policy, they will be respectfully asked to cover up or change into more appropriate attire. Repeated violations may result in a discussion with camp organizers or, in extreme cases, further action.

By following these guidelines, we can ensure that all participants feel safe, comfortable, and respected throughout their experience at CAMPADELIC. Thank you for your cooperation and for helping us create a positive, inclusive environment.

PRIVACY POLICY

At CAMPADELIC, we deeply respect the privacy and well-being of our participants. To ensure a safe, comfortable, and transformative experience, we ask all campers to follow these guidelines regarding photography, videos, and social media.

  1. Respect for Privacy: We encourage participants to fully engage with the camp experience without the distraction of capturing every moment. If you wish to take photos or videos for personal use, please be mindful of others’ privacy and ensure you have obtained their consent before recording or sharing any images or footage that include them.

  2. No Public Posting During Camp: We kindly request that campers refrain from posting images or videos taken during the camp on public social media platforms. We want everyone to feel safe and free from external judgment, allowing for personal growth without outside influence.

  3. Confidentiality and Respect: We ask that all campers respect the confidentiality of experiences shared by fellow participants. Sensitive discussions, healing processes, and personal moments should not be recorded or shared without permission, ensuring a trusting and safe environment for everyone.

  4. Posting After Camp: We understand the desire to share your transformative experience with others, but we encourage campers to do so thoughtfully and respectfully after the camp has concluded. Please avoid tagging or sharing any content that could identify or implicate other participants without their consent.

PHYSICAL POLICY

Respect for Personal Boundaries:

  1. Every individual has the right to their personal space and to set boundaries. Respect others’ boundaries at all times, both physical and emotional. Consent is essential in any interaction.

  2. If you are unsure about someone’s comfort level or boundaries, always ask for explicit permission before initiating any form of physical contact (hugging, touching, etc.).

  3. Informed Consent:

    • Consent must be clear, enthusiastic, and ongoing. It must be given freely and without any form of pressure or coercion.

    • If at any time someone withdraws consent, it must be respected immediately, without question or argument.

  4. No Means No:

    • If someone communicates that they are not comfortable with any behavior, activity, or interaction, that β€œno” must be respected immediately, with no exceptions.
